They really did it! Brought in friends for me, some fairy lights and a few branches to simulate my natural habitat. For three days they’re leaving the others here. A full grown, albeit small, Dik Dik Antelope… none of them in my part of the woods. A couple of Foxes. And some really big heads….and I do mean just heads. I never knew how good I had it. At least I wasn’t decapitated with my head hanging on a wall. Kind of frightening, from my perspective I can assure you.
The body-less Ram almost came to second bad end as she (Catrina) was trying to place it on top of the shelf above me. And she, too, almost came close to her own demise, but for the grace of the Supreme Spirit animal. Standing on a chair below and lifting that heavy head, she misjudged that it might be able to sit on the top shelf behind my bookcase. It turns out it’s a fake, there’s really no bottom, and the Ram began falling into a cavernous hole. And she, trying to keep a grip on the top of his head, was teetering and bracing with one arm. Somehow, they both managed to right themselves and each other. Her forearm is bruised in three places… the Ram escaped with only a bruised ego since he has no extremities to worry about. We’ll see how this cast of characters make out in our “Enchanted Forest”.
